Instant Raw Mango Chunda Recipe/Aam ka chunda/Gulamba Recipe/Gujarati Instant Chunda Recipe/Chundo


Chunda Gujarati style sweet n sour n spicy mango pickle made with raw mango! Traditionally this is sun dried and takes days to make, here I am sharing an instant version of Chunda that has the same amazing zingy flavor!


Ingredients 

Grated Raw Mango.. 300g

Roasted Cumin seeds... 1.5 tsp.

Cumin powder... 1/4 tsp.

Black salt (Kala namak)...1/2 tsp.

Sugar... 1/2 cup or 100g

Kashmiri Red chilli powder... 2 tsp.

Crushed Dry red chilli...1

Salt...to taste


Method
  • Dry roast cumin seeds till they turn dark brown and aromatic

  • Add the rest of the ingredients

  • Stir fry till the sugar reaches 1 string consistency. This should take 8-10 min

  • Let it cool down completely

  • Store in dry air-tight jar

  • Keeps well for months at room temperature
