Chicken Keema Pancake/Chicken pancake Indian style/Quick lunch box chicken pancake recipe

This is a quick and easy recipe for lunch boxes, picnics, or brunches! I combined the flavors of chicken kebabs with pancakes, because why not!! Hope you enjoy it as much as my family did!


Ingredients 

Yield: makes 10-12 8 inch pancakes


Chicken Keema... 400g

Salt... to taste

Black pepper powder... 1/2 tsp.

Coriander powder... 1 tsp.

Garam masala... 1/2 tsp.

Fresh ginger garlic paste... 1 tbsp.

Soy sauce (low sodium)... 1 tbsp or (high sodium)... 1/2 tbsp.

Coriander leaves (finely chopped)... 2 tbsp.

Mint leaves... 1 tbsp.

Red chilli flakes... 1 tsp. (you may want avoid this when making the recipe for kids)

Egg... 1

All purpose flour (maida)... 12 tbsp.

Water ~ 2 cups or till the batter gets a pouring consistency

Cooking oil or butter for frying the pancakes



Method
  • To 400 g of minced chicken add half a teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon of black pepper powder, 1 teaspoon of coriander powder, half a teaspoon of garam masala powder, 1 teaspoon of dried red chili powder, 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger garlic paste, 1 tablespoon of low sodium soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of finely chopped coriander leaves, 1 tablespoon of finely chopped mint leaves and one egg

  • Mix thoroughly

  • To this add 12 tablespoons of all-purpose flour

  • Add water little by little and mix well till it reaches a pourable consistency like pancake or dosa

  • You will need approximately 2 cups of water

  • Take a pan and add some oil spread 4 tablespoons of the mix like a pancake

  • Fry on both sides till golden brown

  • It should take around 5-6 min
